Program Notes:

Every year, when the temperature begins to drop and the earth begins to change color, I become a little more aware of the passing of time. The evidence of a constantly shifting environment is all around, which brings thoughts of change to the forefront of my mind. I often try to avoid acknowledging these thoughts directly, since I would feel safer in the comfortable security of a never-changing world. However, as the leaves begin to fall and we reach for scarves and jackets, I find myself caught somewhere between the fear and excitement of the ever-fluctuating unknown.
